Sean Hadley is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Classical Research Lab at the University of Arkansas. He received his PhD in Literature from Faulkner University, and his dissertation focused on the novels of Harry Sylvester. His project, Saying What So Badly Needs Saying: A Case for Revisiting the Novels of Harry Sylvester, expands on his dissertation research. This project hopes to broaden the scope of interest in Sylvester’s works, showing that he continues to have
relevance beyond his friendship with Ernest Hemingway and his critique of Irish American parish life. Hadley examines Sylvester’s contributions to the American short story, to magazine writing, and to the Catholic novel.
